Fabregas gives green light to United

Reports in the British Press today have claimed that Cesc Fabregas wants to return to the Premier League.

The Sunday Express believe that midfielder’s agent Darren Dein held a secret meeting with Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward, in which he told the Old Trafford board member that the Spain international wants to join United.

David Moyes’ side have already had three bids for the 26-year-old rejected this summer, and are somewhat frustrated that their prime target wants to join, but that the Blaugrana are unwilling to sell.

New Coach Gerardo Martino has already insisted that Fabregas is not for sale, and is unlikely to want his tenure to begin with the sale of a star player.

The former Arsenal man though, is keen to join the English champions, and may resort to submitting a formal transfer request.
