Javier Mascherano has insisted that it is ‘important’ for Barcelona to have signed ‘a player like Neymar’.
The Brazil international joined the Blaugrana earlier this month from Santos to much fanfare.
But the Argentine defender has claimed that the young forward can do well at Camp Nou.
“I do not know him that well,” he told a Press conference. “I haven’t talked to him much.
“Adriano and Dani [Alves] know him best, but he seems like a humble guy.
“Despite how famous he is, he seems to have kept his feet on the gorund.
“He’s obviously a very good player, and will be very good for us.
“It is important for Barca to able to get an individual like Neymar.”
