Liverpool considering Soldado

Liverpool are reported in England this week as identifying Valencia’s Roberto Soldado as their first option, should Luis Suarez leave.

Suarez is seen to be still pushing for an exit from Anfield and, whilst Real Madrid have been linked, it is Arsenal that are said to be leading the way for the Uruguayan.

On from this situation, the Daily Mirror reiterate reports from last weekend of the Reds’ interest in Valencia’s Soldado.

They report today that the Premier League side are keen to compete with Tottenham Hotspur for the 28-year-old and have marked him as their first choice option, should Suarez exit this summer.

Valencia have already seen a first round of talks with Spurs break down over the London side’s refusal to pay in a single go the player’s €30m buyout clause.

Whilst their Coach Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed negotiations remain open, it is believed that as of today, Liverpool have yet to come in with an offer for Soldado.
