Gerard Pique has warned his former club Manchester United that they are ‘wasting their time’ trying to sign his Barcelona teammate Cesc Fabregas.
The English side confirmed yesterday that they went back in with a second offer for the former Arsenal man, believed to be around the €40m mark.
However, on from the club reportedly rejecting that offer and their President writing to United to make clear the situation, the Red Devils have now seen their former defender and current teammate to Fabregas also wade into the situation.
“United are wasting their time,” Pique has reportedly told today’s edition of The Sun.
“It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won’t give it up.
“This is home, it is where his family is, and he is playing with his closest friends.
“He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona.”
