Asier Illaramendi has revealed his delight at making his debut for Real Madrid on Sunday evening.
The youngster who recently signed from Real Sociedad came on in the second half as Los Blanco beat Bournemouth 6-0.
"I have been welcomed, I'm very happy,” he told reporters. “It was the first match, the pace needs to be picked up a little, but for the first time out, the truth is that it went pretty well.
“I concentrate on playing, I have very good people around me and I am very happy to play with them.
“I still have a long way to go to get into the starting team which is very difficult in a team like this, but I'll try.
“Ancelotti is very close with the players and has a good relationship with us. I like that sort of Coach.
“He asked us to keep possession and control of the match and that's what we tried to do from the start.”
