‘It’ll be a stroll in the park for Madrid’

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has admitted that Real Madrid are set for 'a stroll in the park' when the two teams meet on Sunday.

Los Blancos play their first pre-season friendly against the English side tomorrow evening, and the 22-year-old has conceded that Carlo Ancelotti's men are set to benefit from the warm weather that is currently enveloping the UK.

“At first we thought that it wasn't going to happen – it was just talk, but a few days later it actually materialised,” he told Sportsmole.

“There was a bit of disbelief that we were playing Real Madrid.

“I think it's massive for the club and the town. They’re one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“They're coming over to nice warm weather. I'm sure it will be a stroll in the park for them.

“I don't think they've done much training, but I can see them being a bit more used to the weather.”

The youngster then commented on the prospect of playing against Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Some would say he's the best, some would say second best, but it's going to be a great experience.

“I'm looking forward to playing against him.”
