The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt will wear a Manchester United shirt in their friendly against Sevilla at Old Trafford next month.
A report in The Sun has confirmed that the 26-year-old Jamaican athlete will line up for the Red Devils in Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial against the Spanish outfit on August 9.
Bolt, 26, had previously implored former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a chance to pull on a red jersey, but his plan appeared to have been thwarted when the Scot announced his retirement at the end of last season.
However, defender Ferdinand has persuaded new boss David Moyes to let the 100 metres and 200 metres Olympic champion to include him in his line-up for the game.
“I know I could make a difference. I’d be the fastest in the team but I can play as well,” Bolt has been quoted as saying in the past.
