Getafe are reported to want to bring Spain Under-21 star Alvaro Gonzalez to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The Madrid club are in need of central defenders with just Alberto Lopo and Rafa remaining on the books following the return after loan spells of Fede and Alexis Sanchez.
Boss Luis Garcia Plaza is hoping to tempt 23-year-old Alvaro [pictured, left] into a move away from recently-relegated Real Zaragoza with the promise of top-flight football next season.
Alvaro made 33 La Liga appearances for Los Manos last term following his move from Racing Santander before the start of the 2012-13 campaign and was a member of Spain’s victorious Under-21 squad at this summer’s European Championships in Israel.
