Real Zaragoza have released a brief statement this week to make clear that, contrary to reports, they do hold 100 per cent ownership of Helder Postiga.
A report run by El Periodico de Aragon earlier this week speculated that the recently relegated outfit did not ‘fully own’ the Portuguese forward’s registration.
It was alleged by the publication that his agent Jorge Mendes’ investment group Doyen held part of the 30-year-old’s playing rights.
However, the club, who are in negotiations for his sale to Sevilla, have responded with an official statement.
“The Aragonese club wants to state categorically that 100 per cent of the legal and economic rights of the player belong to Real Zaragoza,” the club responded.
