David Villa silent over future

Barcelona striker David Villa says he will put any talk regarding his future plans on hold until after the Confederations Cup.

The Spain international has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League, particularly since he will face more of a fight to break into Tito Vilanova’s starting line-up next season with the arrival of Neymar from Santos, but the 31-year-old refuses to discuss his intentions until the tournament in Brazil is over.

“I don’t want to talk about my future at the moment,” commented the Asturian in an interview with Cadena Cope.

“I want to concentrate on Spain and give my all for the people who have placed their trust in me.

“I’ve still got plenty of time to decide and, like I’ve told everyone, right now I just want to concentrate 120 per cent on the national team.”
