Paperwork delays Aspas move

Iago Aspas’ brother and agent has explained that delays in his transfer from Celta Vigo to Liverpool are down to paperwork.

The striker was expected to be announced as a Liverpool player earlier this week, after undergoing a medical on Tuesday at the club’s training ground.

Despite delays having seen the 25-year-old return to Spain without the deal being concluded, his brother and agent has assured that there is nothing to worry about.

“There is no problem,” Jonathan Aspas told Radio Galega this week.

“There are only a couple of bureaucratic details missing, in relation to broadcast and image rights.

“It will be a matter of hours, at most one day.”

Celta are set to receive an initial €8m for Aspas’ sale.
