Ivan Rakitic has encouraged interest from Liverpool, as he warns Sevilla that there is a condition to him staying at the club this summer.
Liverpool have been listed in reports in Spain in recent weeks as monitoring the Croatian international midfielder with a view to making a move this summer.
For the player, it would be one to consider, if he does not see that his current side have made the right moves in the market.
“I am very flattered that I have been linked to a big club like Liverpool,” Rakitic told 24sata today.
“I have heard that something was going on, but for now there is no concrete offer. My brother is the one who takes care of my career, he is negotiating over my future.
“I’ll repeat what I said before – I will stay in Seville if the team strengthen the squad.
“I have made it very clear and I know that they know they have to buy some good players.”
