Falcao’s Premier League replacement

Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin is apparently in London today to try and secure a replacement for Radamel Falcao as soon as possible.

Falcao has reportedly agreed to a €43m transfer to Monaco, which is all but awaiting official confirmation, and in preparation, Gil Marin has apparently flown out to the English capital.

There it is speculated that he will look to close negotiations on a Premier League-based striker to replace the Colombian No 9 with at the Vicente Calderon.

Gil Marin has previously indicated that talks with Sevilla will be held for Alvaro Negredo, in the eventuality that Falcao is sold.

However, Atleti are seen as pushing now for Luis Suarez of Liverpool and that if they are unsuccessful, moves for either Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez or Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke will be attempted.
