Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are expected to renewal old rivalries next season with the European Super Cup match on August 30.
After Bayern Munich’s Champions League win on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund, it was confirmed that the Bavarian side, who will be coached by the former Barcelona man next term, will face Europa League winners Chelsea in Prague.
The Premier League team, who beat Benfica in Amsterdam for their second-successive European trophy, are likely to name the Real Madrid tactician as their new boss in June.
Mourinho and Guardiola had a frosty relationship whilst the two were managing in Spain, with tensions reaching boiling point in 2011 when the Portuguese Coach insisted “Guardiola won a Champions League which I would have been ashamed to have won.”
