Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer goalkeeper Pepe Reina to Barcelona this summer in exchange for Cristian Tello.
Tello is once more being linked with the Premier League side this summer, after catching the eye with some recent cameos for the Catalans.
Whilst he recently signed a new deal at the Camp Nou, the 21-year-old’s buyout clause was kept at €10m, which has subsequently led to speculation this summer.
The Mirror report that Liverpool are keen to make a move and to cash in at the same time on Barca’s apparent interest in their goalkeeper Reina.
With Victor Valdes’ future beyond this summer unclear, La Blaugrana are seen as ready to pay up to €12m for Reina, leading to the Anfield side’s proposition of including Tello in negotiations for their 30-year-old shot-stopper.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is believed to be pushing for a move for Tello and reluctantly willing to include Reina in negotiations to engineer a move.
