Jordi Alba has reflected on the value of Barcelona’s title win to him, as well as the hope for next season to win more.
Barca were crowned League champions at the weekend and celebrated yesterday with an open top bus parade through the city.
“That was a fantastic experience. We celebrated the League like we deserved to,” Alba commented the day after the celebrations to reporters.
“I had already experienced something similar with the European Championship win, but yesterday was something that gave me great joy.
“This title is very important for me as it is my first title with Barca. It has also be a season of difficult moments, with Tito and Abidal, but it has all ended well.”
However, the team will be watching the Champions League Final this year at home, after elimination at the semi-final stage to Bayern Munich.
“It has been given a lot of attention because it was very painful. The previous year Barca were also eliminated at the semi-final stage.
“But, we have a very good team, both now and with a great future. Hopefully next year we can win the League again and more titles.
“Are we dependent on Lionel Messi? I don’t know, but he helps a lot. He is the best ever and he makes a difference.”
