Jordi Alba has expressed his gratitude to the Spain fans following La Roja’s early World Cup exit.
Vicente Del Bosque’s team were victors over Australia yesterday in their final match in Brazil, but their elimination had already been sealed prior to kick off.
This morning, the team arrived back in Madrid and the Barcelona man apologised for the team’s showing in Brazil.
“We’re already home,” Alba wrote on social media. “It’s been a very difficult World Cup for everyone. Simply, I want to show my respect and gratitude to the fans.
“For them, I would like to say sorry if there have been any moments of undesirable tension for them. I am sorry for that.
“Thank you very much for your understanding and support.”
