United negotiating for Ronaldo

Reports in England have it that Manchester United have already met with Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent over a proposed return this summer.

The Real Madrid star has been linked on and off with a return to Old Trafford in recent months, as speculation around his discontent at the Santiago Bernabeu lingers.

The Daily Mail are leading the way with reports that he will return to United, who he played for from 2003 to 2009, with the Red Devils having already started the process.

Apparently, CEO David Gill has already held talks with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and a proposed deal is at a stage that has the Manchester side ‘confident’ they can take back the 28-year-old.

Ronaldo moved to Madrid in 2009 for a world record €93.9m fee.
