Reina & Marquinhos top Barca targets

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is set to become Barcelona's first signing of the summer, according to reports.

Mundo Deportivo have claimed that the Spain international will replace Victor Valdes at Camp Nou, with the Blaugrana looking to make a €10m bid for the 30-year-old.

Tito Vilanova sees Reina as a safe bet as they look to replace the outgoing Valdes. Having come through the youth ranks at La Masia, the Premier League shot-stopper knows the club, has experience of European football and is relatively cheap.

The same paper also claim that the Catalan club will look to sign Roma youngster Marquinhos during the off-season.

The 18-year-old has been revelatory this term for the Serie A side, with scouts from Barcelona watching the Brazilian on numerous occasions.

The hierarchy at the club see Marquinhos as a long-term solution to their defensive woes, and would be considerably cheaper than Mats Hummels and Thiago Silva.
