Former Barcelona Coach Carles Rexach has reflected that the Catalans need force in midfield if they are turn things around against Bayern Munich.
Barca are preparing this week for Wednesday evening’s Champions League semi-final second leg, where they must try and turn around last week’s 4-0 first leg defeat.
“Barcelona’s players have been dreaming of turning around this scoreline, but it is complicated because Bayern have a great team and have the advantage,” Rexach told La Xarxa Radio this week.
“The first thing is that Barca do not concede a goal. Can they then score four? Barca are able.
“Barca will have to have strength in midfield because Bayern have a great midfield, it is one of their strengths.
“Messi is now 100 per cent. In Munich he played with a little fear, thinking that his injury could reoccur.
“On Wednesday we will see everything, we will see Messi of his very best times.”
