Franz Beckenbauer has warned Bayern Munich that Barcelona ‘will provoke and use every trick in the world’ against them this week.
Barca must try and overcome a 4-0 first leg deficit in Wednesday’s return leg of the Champions League semi-final.
The Germans’ honorary President has warned that the Catalans’ methods may step over into the questionable.
“Barcelona will not give up. They will do everything to win the game,” former player Beckenbauer told reporters today.
“They will provoke and use every trick in the world.
“Barcelona will try to scatter Bayern’s players in individual duels, but the Bavarians must not fall into those traps.
“There will be many dirty tricks. The referee will be the most important man in the ground.”
