‘Valencia not buying in Italy’

Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez has commented today on a couple of Serie A-based rumours, indicating that it is not a market for Los Che.

Reports in Italy earlier this week paired Valencia with a possible summer move for Roma’s American midfielder Michael Bradley, whilst the Italians’ goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg was also listed as a probable target.

However, in taking comment on the Roma duo, Los Che’s sporting director has explained why the only answer to the speculation is no.

“Bradley? He is a great player, but in Italy there is no market for us sometimes,” Braulio told Tuttomercatoweb.com this week.

“It is a market where we do not sign players.

“Stekelenburg? I like him, he is an excellent goalkeeper, as is [current Valencia ‘keeper] Diego Alves.

“But, it is difficult for us to recruit players who are competing in Italy.”
