Oliver Kahn has warned Bayern Munich that Barcelona can overcome vulnerability and that this is the German club’s ‘moment of truth’.
The Bavarians, who lost last year’s Champions League Final in their own ground to Chelsea, will host Barcelona tonight in the first leg of this year’s semi-final.
“Barcelona have shown this season how vulnerable they can be at the back,” Kahn is quoted by UEFA’s official website telling reporters today.
“However, in the crucial moments, [Lionel] Messi, [Andres] Iniesta and Xavi [Hernandez] have always pulled out world-class performances.
“In my opinion, the tie will be a very open one.
“Exiting the competition would be a huge disappointment to the fans and the players after such a dominant season.
“It's the moment of truth for Bayern.”
