Xavi Hernandez is hopeful that Barcelona can produce a performance and score away from home this week against Bayern Munich.
The Catalans travel out to Germany this week for Tuesday evening’s Champions League semi-final first leg.
“I think this tie is 50-50. Bayern are a great team, they've won the League and are in the final of the German Cup,” began Xavi to gathered reporters today.
“They are maybe playing a bit better than us going into the semi-finals but we're going to try play our own game.
“They'll try and impose their game, which is quite similar to ours, but we'll see what happens on the pitch.
“It's important to score away from home because of away goals counting double.
“I think looking back on the Milan game is the reference point of our season but we're going to try and score goal – this will be vital if we're going to get through to the final.
“We want to show the best of ourselves. We've had players missing in recent games and I hope that going into tomorrow's game we'll see the best of Barcelona.”
Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta joked earlier today that the League had seemingly disappeared from the calendar due to the coverage given to the Champions League in recent weeks.
“The League is very important, it's the title that you play for every week. We said it's the most important title for us but the Champions League really motivates us.
“We're in the semis and we want to show our very best. It's always demanding at Barcelona because you've got to win.
“That's the only thing that counts. For me, it's demanding but it's the best club in the world. We only think in terms of victories and titles so it's the same as any other season.”
