Former Bayern Munich and Barcelona midfielder Mark van Bommel admits that he cannot pick a winner between the two in their European semi-final.
Bayern play host this Tuesday for the first leg of their Champions League last four clash, before La Blaugrana stage the return leg eight days later.
For current PSV man Van Bommel, who had spells at both clubs, this really should have been the final.
“Bayern-Barca, this should be the final, whoever wins the tie will end up being champions,” affirmed the Dutchman today.
“It is a knockout match that is evenly balanced, Barca playing the return leg at home could be decisive.
“Barca have a very good team and they have reached the semi-finals in six consecutive years, which says a lot. These will be two great games and we’ll have fun.
“I was very happy at both teams. In Barcelona I won four titles in a year and in Munich six in four-and-a-half. I cannot have a favourite.”
