Diego Ribas has reflected on his attachment to Atletico Madrid and urged them to defeat Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey Final.
The Brazilian has been increasingly linked this term with a summer return to the Vicente Calderon side, who he spent the 2011-12 season at on loan.
Talking to AS this week, Diego spoke of how he still follows Atleti, before looking ahead to May’s Cup final against Madrid.
“I try to watch their games and I hope that they can progress,” the playmaker reflected.
“Am I going to the final in person? I think not, but I’ll see what happens. It’s time for Atletico to beat Madrid.
“My future? I’m very focused on my team, with who I have a commitment. There are several weeks of the season left and still many things to do.
“[But], Atletico is always in my heart.”
