Manchester United are reportedly prepared to include Javier Hernandez in part exchange for Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao.
Reports in Spain this week listed the Red Devils as having taken a surprise lead in negotiations with Atleti over a summer move for the highly coveted Colombian forward.
The Daily Mail have followed this up with the assessment that the English League leaders, who reportedly are negotiating at a €55m level, would be open to offering Mexican striker Hernandez to lower that total spend.
United are understood to value their striker at around the €23m mark and are hopeful that his inclusion would see them have to front up only €32m in cash for Atleti.
Through the season, Hernandez has been linked with a possible summer switch to Spain, with Atletico and city rivals Real Madrid both named as interested parties.
Falcao has otherwise been linked with possible moves in the summer to Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City.
