Lionel Messi has claimed that his latest goalscoring record is 'not important' after Barcelona could only draw with Celta Vigo.
The Argentina international netted in his 19th consecutive game against the Celestes, but the Blaugrana could only manage a 2-2 draw with Abel Resino's side.
And the record-breaking forward has insisted that the only think worthy of a mention is the result.
“This streak is the least important thing,” he told reporters. “I was fortunate to play these games and help the team.
“That's not important though. We wanted to win, but we could not.”
