Inter President Massimo Moratti has confirmed that he remains in contact with Jose Mourinho, but says he won’t be returning this summer.
Mourinho has been continually linked with a switch to any one of a number of clubs in the coming summer, including Inter, in light of the belief in Spain that this is his last term at Real Madrid.
Whilst the Coach opened up the possibility of returning to the Serie A side earlier this week, alongside a similar hint towards Chelsea, Moratti has reflected that he is unlikely to be back at San Siro come July.
“I exchanged some courtesy text messages with Mourinho,” Moratti told journalists ahead of a Board of Directors meeting.
“Of course his loyalty and love for Inter are pleasing.
“There aren’t the right conditions for a return to Inter and I haven’t discussed an eventual project with him.”
Chelsea were reported earlier this week as having reached an agreement with Mourinho to return to Stamford Bridge for next season.
