Tito Vilanova is expected to return to Barcelona next week and begin determining a number of issues in line for next season.
Vilanova is scheduled to return to Barcelona in the final week of March, fitness permitting, having undergone chemotherapy treatment in New York as part of his recovery from returned cancer on one of his salivary glands.
assistant Coach Jordi Roura, who has stepped up in his place, and fitness Coach Aureli Altimira are expected to meet with the Coach this weekend in the American city, to discuss among other things plans for next season.
Upon returning to Barcelona during next week, Vilanova is then seen as likely to meet with President Sandro Rosell, Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta to decide on a number of situations.
These include new contract offers for Sergio Busquets and Gerard Deulofeu, a decision on David Villa’s continued presence at the club beyond the summer, what level of offer the club are prepared to accept should someone come in for Victor Valdes and on whether or not to consider bids for Alexis Sanchez.
