Neymar: Barca or Madrid?

Neymar has again commented that playing in Europe remains his dream, but that he is uncertain when it will be, or if it will be for Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is strongly linked with a move to La Liga in the future, with both Barca and Madrid having been paired with moves in recent seasons.

La Blaugrana are understood to have a pre-contract agreement in place, whilst Los Blancos are reportedly considering funding enough money to break that.

For the Brazilian international who is at Santos currently, the situation sees him non-committal on where he sees himself ending up.

“Yes playing in Europe is a dream and it still remains…I do not know if it is close or not. If I have to go now, I’ll go,” reflected Neymar to Cadena COPE this week.

“To Barcelona or Real Madrid? I have no preference in choosing between one or the other. They are two big clubs, respected by all and each have their own history, they both have wonderful players…

“In recent years, Barcelona has scared everyone for their football, they are one of the best teams in the world.”

The forward commented on his familiarity with a number of Brazilian stars currently based in Spain.

“In Spain I see Dani Alves, Adriano, Leo Baptistao, who is at Rayo Vallecano and who I played with as a child. He is a great friend of mine and I am very happy for his success. I have also met Luis Filipe, Jonas and Diego Alves… I have many friends over there.

“Alves…he is encouraging me to go with him. I speak of the League, also of the fact that he has always been my friend.

“Have I agreed already to a move? These things are invented, they said that I have spoken, and I have not. I do not know if this is news, it’s wrong, it’s totally different to what I have said.”
