Navas: Sevilla will give their all

Jesus Navas has reflected on the change at Sevilla since Unai Emery arrived and on the challenge facing the team this weekend.

Saturday evening sees the Andalucians visit the capital to play Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, in a clash the winger is looking forward to.

“Sevilla usually stand up to Madrid, both at the Pizjuan and at the Bernabeu,” reflected Navas to reporters this week.

“Normally the games have a lot of goals and are very eye-catching. We come into this with a lot of confidence after recent results.

“We have to play very seriously. It’s a most demanding game and Sevilla will give their maximum.”

The Spain international was asked of the team’s recent form under Emery, who recently came in as replacement for the sacked Michel.

“We’ve found a good dynamic since Emery arrived. We faced a challenging stretch of games in the schedule and we have responded well.

“The team is working hard and that is the key.

“It is also true that under Michel we played some really good games, but for different reasons things did not work out.

“I dare say that in almost every game we played, we did more and were better than the opponent.”
