Marca believe that Athletic Bilbao forward Fernando Llorente is close to agreeing terms of a Bosman move to Juventus.
The striker is leaving Athletic this summer at the expiry of his contract and is free to talk to interested clubs now.
Athletic confirmed in the first few days of January that Italian giants Juve were to begin negotiations and it is now believed that they are on the verge of an agreement with the Spain international.
Specifically, Marca understand that the 27-year-old is on the verge of agreeing to a four-year deal with the Italian champions and current League leaders, with an option in place for a fifth year, with a basic salary starting at €4.5m a year.
If this is true then that salary will place Llorente as second only to Gianluigi Buffon on the club’s wage bill.
An announcement on the deal could come through in the next 10 days, with one of Llorente’s representatives reportedly in Turin now concluding terms.
