Inter, Dortmund looking at Sahin

Inter and Borussia Dortmand are both reported as interested in taking Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin away from Liverpool for the rest of the season.

The Turkish international is midway through a 12-month loan deal at Anfield, but in recent weeks has slipped down the pecking order under Brendan Rodgers and has been left out of a number of recent matchday squads.

Speculation is that the Premier League side, who do not have an option to buy the 24-year-old in the summer, are not adverse to his return to Spain earlier than planned.

Some reports today suggest that The Reds are keen to close his loan six months early to save on paying his wage.

Italian media believe that Inter are monitoring the situation and could accelerate Liverpool’s offloading of the midfielder with an offer to take him to Serie A for the rest of the season.

The Corriere dello Sport suggest that Madrid will sanction the move, having previously offered Sahin to the Nerazzurri on a 12-month loan last summer.

Elsewhere, reports have former club Borussia Dortmund as another party interested in taking the player for the rest of the campaign.
