United preparing Ronaldo bid?

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a way of financing a move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who will face his former teammates in the Champions League Last 16 in early 2013, has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid next summer as part of continued reports of his unhappiness in the Spanish capital.

United are listed in reports in Spain today as considering a way of bringing him back to England and are believed prepared to offer Madrid winger Luis Nani and goalkeeper David de Gea plus as much as €73m cash.

Nani has struggled for playing time in Manchester this season and has been linked with a move out in January anyway, whilst De Gea has been listed by AS today as alongside Valencia’s Vicente Guaita as Madrid’s primary summer transfer target to strengthen the goalkeeping department.

Ronaldo, who was reported last week as having rejected a new contract offer by Madrid, is represented by agent Jorge Mendes, as is De Gea and Nani.
