Michel praises team despite defeat

Sevilla Coach Michel has praised his players despite going down 2-0 to Malaga on Saturday evening.

Second half goals from Martin Demichelis and Eliseu gave the Boquerones the three points at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

But the 49-year-old tactician has admitted that his team did nothing wrong in defeat.

“We had a great first half and were not in trouble,” he told a Press conference. “We wanted it to stay the same in the second half, but after three of four minutes we let in and we were in trouble.

“But I have nothing to say against my players.

“We played the game the way I think we should. If we fail [to take chances] then at the end of the day, you pay.

“We can talk about attitude and positioning errors, but we cannot say that today we did anything wrong.

“Going forward, if we play like we did in the first half, we'll be fine.”
