Rafa Benitez and Pep Guardiola are the names being mentioned today as possible replacements for Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea.
The Italian, who won the FA Cup and Champions League for the London side last term, parted company with them last night after a 3-0 defeat to Juventus left their Champions League progression in doubt.
Former Barcelona boss Guardiola is being rumoured in some quarters as a possible replacement, having recently been linked with the position.
However, the BBC are reporting that former Valencia, Liverpool and Inter Coach Benitez has been asked to consider taking the role on an initial short-term basis.
Owner Roman Abramovich is said to have even approached Benitez, who has been out of work since leaving Inter in December 2010, before parting ways with Di Matteo.
Chelsea have confirmed that a replacement manager will be announced ‘shortly’.
