Castro urges Real repetition

Chory Castro wants more of the same from himself and his Real Sociedad teammates, following last weekend’s away win at Malaga.

The 2-1 result at La Rosaleda broke a run of almost a year on the road without victory for Philippe Montanier’s men.

For Uruguayan Castro, the performance in that game is an opportunity for the Basques to progress up the table with similar results in the coming weeks.

“Both individually and collectively we should follow suit. We got back to winning away from home and it was a very important step because for months that had not been achieved,” commented the attacker to Mundo Deportivo today.

“Also the performance achieved was at a high level against one of the best teams in the Division. We produced a very intelligent game, taking the ball and creating several dangerous situations.”

Castro produced a strong performance for La Real in that win last weekend to mark a return to the set-up after injury.

“Will I start against Rayo Vallecano? I hope so. What is clear is that I will be ready to play. I think we have a great squad and we are all in the same boat. In the end, the Coach is the one to decide.

“If I have to play, I’ll have to do so like against Malaga or even better and, if I don’t start, I have to provide a good performance if I come in as a substitute.

“Am I 100 per cent now? Yes,” continued the summer arrival from Mallorca.

“Sometimes things work out and sometimes not, but I feel good. The other day I was at ease and even against a team that did not make things easy.

“Until you know how to play, you are not going to play each one, but I will always try to keep up.”
