Real Madrid assistant Coach Aitor Karanka has paid tribute to Jose Mourinho's personality and Cristiano Ronaldo's professionalism.
Karanka spoke to club sponsors Bwin about a variety of topics, beginning with Mourinho.
“Working with the world's best in your profession is a privilege. Besides working with him, seeing his methods and enjoying it, the most important thing is to know the person Mourinho.
“Ronaldo shows how professional he is every day, always wanting to improve. A good peer is required as well and he is that in the locker room.”
The former Los Blancos centre back then gave his thoughts on the club's defensive options and looked forward to Saturday's meeting with Athletic Bilbao.
“Luckily we have Pepe and Sergio Ramos in central defence, and for me they are the best in the world. Then there's Raphael Varane, who has a great future, Raul Albiol, a World and European champion, and Ricardo Carvalho, who has been a reference point for a long time.
“Athletic are going to make things difficult, because even though this year they are not at their best, they still have a lot of quality players, and if you neglect them, they can cause an upset.”
