Michel fully respects Levante

Michel Gonzalez has made it clear that Sevilla must take Levante seriously tomorrow evening in their League clash.

Los Rojiblancos host Los Granotes in Sunday’s late kick-off a place and two points below them in the table, which, according to Michel, is probably deserved.

“If anything can be said about Levante then it is that they are a stable team. They come into this game working fine and they are a side that are never distracted by the score, even when favourable,” he reflected at today’s Press conference.

“They have continued playing from last year, with form marked and protected by their stability and labour. Even in defeat their performance level does not change. Hopefully it will [tomorrow] but that would be a surprise.

“Their style is well-known but is not easy to stop, because it requires patience, stability and balance. Their Coach has them in Europe thanks to a team environment and they have created a complicated style with a modest team.

“I am glad because Juan Ignacio Martinez has shown that good Coaches are not only those who win titles.”

The Coach also reflected on recent reports of unrest in the stands towards members of his playing side. Baba is the latest to have been targeted for poor performances.

“This does not bother me because they seek to make us better. It is a warning and it is better to come from the fans.

“If they ask us to do well then it is because they know we can do better. Baba will certainly still play and will soon end the negative chants and see them become applause, because people want to applaud.”
