New dad Lionel Messi has been included in Barcelona’s squad for this evening’s match at home to Celta Vigo.
The Argentine became a father for the first time on Friday as partner Antonella Roccuzzo gave birth to Thiago, and he was excused from training.
Even so and as expected, the 25-year-old has been named in Tito Vilanova’s squad to face Celta this evening.
Barca, who can set a club record for the best start to a League season today, also include Jonathan dos Santos in the squad, as well as full-back Dani Alves, who featured for the first time in midweek after injury.
