Falcao’s flourish shocks Pellegrino

Valencia boss Mauricio Pellegrino is surprised by Radamel Falcao's development but doesn't think Atletico Madrid are a one man team.

Los Colchoneros are currently joint top of La Liga, Falcao having scored 10 of their 22 goals to date.

Tomorrow night they take on Pellegrino's inconsistent Valencia at Mestalla, a ground where they haven't won for a decade.

“We are playing a team that is on the up, but it is not the fruit of a single player,” the Argentine trainer stated at a press conference.

“We knew Falcao when he was playing in Argentina [with River Plate]. We are quite shocked by his evolution. He is improving year after year.

“We will have to play better than Atleti, as they fight very hard and are well co-ordinated.”
