Callejon committed to Real cause

Real Madrid forward Jose Callejon has stressed his dedication to the club, saying he would defend their colours 'to the death.'

The former Espanyol striker, used mostly as a substitute this season, was speaking to Real's sponsors Bwin.

“I'm a Madridista, I like these colours, and like I always say, I'll defend them to the death,” stated the 25-year-old.

“I was always of Madrid, I grew up in the youth system and was lucky to be able to return to the first team again.”

Callejon scored the Merengues final goal in their 5-0 rout of Real Mallorca last night and believes they are now a force to be reckoned with after their slow start.

“The squad is united and we all have great confidence. That is important, confidence in ourselves.”

Finally the player discussed Real's Copa del Rey campaign, which begins away to minnows Alcoyano.

“We are Madrid and our objective is to fight for every title. What is clear is that our goal is to fight for everything at stake, and we will go for it.”
