Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has admitted he is flattered to be linked with Real Madrid, but says there has been no contact.
The son of former Manchester United shot-stopper Peter Schmeichel was one of a number of names paired with a switch to Los Blancos to act as cover for No 1 Iker Casillas.
However, the 25-year-old former Denmark Under-21 international has today hinted that there may not be any truth to the rumours.
“To be mentioned in the same sentence as Real Madrid is an honour, but that is all that I have heard,” he told Sky Sports today.
“People have been calling me and sending messages, but I am not thinking about it. I’m very happy here, where I play every week and I ask for nothing more than that.”
