Michel: Nice goal, great result

Michel has reflected on his match-winning strike that defeated Getafe, reflecting that he tried his luck because Levante had otherwise not had many shots.

It was a lifeless 87 minutes at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez this lunchtime, but the substitute’s late goal settled matters in notable fashion.

“It was a nice goal with a beautiful end result. The most important thing is the three points, we were not very strong but we have won the game,” the midfielder enthused.

“I saw the ball and right away I just wanted to shoot at goal because we had had almost no attempts all game.

“In the end it went well, this is a victory achieved by the whole team and you have to give a 10 to everyone.

“It is true that the game could have ended goalless. The match was decided by a single action, I took the ball, tried shooting and it turned out well. On a personal level I am very pleased.”
