JIM: Michel’s ‘spark’ won it for us

Juan Ignacio Martinez admitted that his Levante could have lost their match at Getafe today, so was thankful for Michel’s wonderstrike.

The substitute popped up with three minutes of play remaining to settle an otherwise dull game with his 35-yard goal.

“We know every team when things are level everyone tries to take advantage of their own strengths. Our opponents also take precautions,” began JIM at the post-match Press conference.

“At times today it was difficult to break through but eventually we won thanks to a spark, with that goal from Michel.

“I am very happy, it is two straight wins and serves the players well to progress in the League.

“In the first half it was a scoreless game. What comes to mind are the saves from Munua, but Getafe at home have not created much. We could have drawn or lost, but we won thanks to a spark.”
