Refs can be wrong says Sergio Ramos

Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos said referees are sometimes wrong after referring to controversial decisions in the 2-2 draw at Barcelona.

Both sides believed they should have been awarded penalties, Madrid for a foul on Mesut Ozil and Barca for Pepe’s tackle on Andres Iniesta.

However, Spanish international defender Ramos [pictured, right] said officials can get it wrong and it is something players have to put up with.

“I would have to see the replays so it’s difficult to give an opinion because I didn’t have a good view, but sometimes referees are wrong and we have to live with that,” he told gathered media.

Ramos also felt that Madrid deserved to return to the Santiago Bernabeu with three points in the bag.

“A good result would have been a victory. If we had won nobody would have thought it strange.

“We are going away happy with our performance and the work we put in.”
