Garcia critical despite win

Getafe boss Luis Garcia Plaza has criticised his side despite defeating Real Zaragoza 1-0 at La Romareda on Saturday.

The 39-year-old tactician picked apart his team's performance, admitting they should have made the scoreline more emphatic in the second half.

“The result is fair,” he told a press conference. “The first half we were very bad, and in the second half we weren't clinical enough. We scored one but we could have got four.

“We lacked a finisher in front of goal, but we must stick together as a team. The goals will come.”

Despite the poor performance though, he did concede that his men have started the season extremely well.

“I am delighted we have 10 points. Having played Barcelona and Real Madrid, we definitely would have taken that.

Garcia concluded by refusing to comment on the referee, who sent off midfielder Abdel Barrada, as well as two of the opposition.

“I never speak about referees,” he said.
