According to El Correo, Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa sent Fernando Llorente to the changing rooms during training on Monday.
Los Leones lost the Basque derby with Real Sociedad 2-0 at the weekend and it is understood that the Argentine had strong words for his players in the morning session, particularly Spanish international striker Llorente.
The report claims Bielsa had organised a small-scale practice game between the substitutes from the game at Anoeta and nine youth team members, during which he stopped play and showed his anger towards some players, Llorente included.
It is believed Bielsa was not happy with Llorente’s performance or attitude.
As a result, Llorente then made his way to the changing rooms to potentially aggravate a delicate situation after what has been a poor start to the season for Athletic.
