Javi Martinez to break silence

Javi Martinez is set to break his silence over the alleged break-in at former club Athletic Bilbao’s Lezama training ground.

The Bayern Munich midfielder was reported to have jumped the fence in the middle of the night to retrieve his effects and was forced to show his identity to a security guard, who did not recognise him.

He was allegedly then allowed to enter and reportedly left a message on a dressing room blackboard for his former Bilbao teammates.

To date, except for a denial via his Twitter account, Martinez has only made statements through Bayern’s official channels, who have rejected requests for interviews since he joined the club this summer.

However, a report in El Correo claims he will speak to the Press regarding the matter after the German club’s Champions League clash with Valencia at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
